Occupational Therapy

Empowering Children to Learn, Play, and Thrive with Confidence At Pacific, we believe that play, learning, and growth are at the heart of every child’s development. Our occupational therapy services in Singapore support children with physical, developmental, and learning differences to participate more fully in everyday life. Using fun, purposeful activities, we help children build essential life skills—while nurturing their confidence, focus, and independence along the way.

We provide support for children with a wide range of developmental, sensory, and motor needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Sensory processing disorder (SPD)
  • Fine and gross motor difficulties
  • Developmental delays
  • Handwriting challenges
  • Attention, focus and behaviour issues
  • Cerebral palsy, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and other physical conditions

What We Target in Occupational Therapy

We take a developmental and play-based approach to target the following areas:

  • Fine motor and gross motor coordination
  • Visual-motor integration and handwriting skills
  • Sensory processing and modulation
  • Self-care and daily living skills (e.g. brushing teeth, dressing, toileting)
  • Environmental adaptations to support success

In addition, occupational therapy can assist your child with:

  • Managing sensory challenges
  • Participating in play activities
  • Navigating their environment
  • Overcoming learning barriers to enhance focus
  • Practicing social interactions and communication
  • Developing independence and achieving success in daily routines, such as brushing teeth or hair

Our family-centred approach values active parent involvement. We coach parents to confidently support their child’s progress at home, helping to build consistent growth across settings. Our reports and progress updates are aligned with Singapore’s school and preschool frameworks.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What age group does occupational therapy support?
Our OT services are suitable for children from 18 months to early teens, depending on their developmental needs.
How is OT different from physiotherapy?
Occupational Therapy (OT) helps children learn everyday skills like dressing, writing, playing, and staying focused through sensory-based and play-based approaches. Physiotherapy (PT) helps children move better like improving balance, strength needed in crawling, walking, jumping etc.

Both help with development, but OT focuses more on daily life activities and sensory integration while PT focuses on body movements.
Do you provide reports for school support or diagnosis?
Yes. We provide detailed personalised reports that can be shared with your child’s teachers, doctors and other professionals.
Will therapy help with my child’s picky eating or messy play aversion?
Yes. Our therapists are trained in sensory integration techniques that support feeding issues and tactile sensitivities.
